Day 35: Irish Friends and Dancing

Hey everyone!  I hope you're doing wonderfully.

Today, we all slept in pretty late, which was awesome.  I woke up to the delicious smell of something being cooked on the stove by my dad.  Then, CRASH.  *flinches*  It turns out that the glass cover on the stove is meant to be removed.  Good to know friends, good to know.  My mom cleaned up what was on the floor and we decided to have cereal, good move.  We all just hung around and relaxed up until the afternoon when we decided to go to the pool.  We all walked down and swam for a bit before getting the most amazing ice cream bar I've ever had.  Magnum Raspberry, ladies and gents, look it up.  Afterwards, Tony and I went back in the pool while my parents read for a bit.  We somehow found ourselves in a game of catch with a family of Irish people.  Sounds about right.  We soon became friends with Patty (13), Jack(13), Grace(12), and Eva(7).  We spend a good amount of time hanging around with them in the pool before leaving to get cleaned up for dinner.  We headed to the restaurant that we literally can just see off of our balcony to try the buffet that was being served.  It was wonderful, let me tell you.  Tony wasn't feeling well though so he left about halfway through. :(  Live music was being played the whole time too which was nice.  After we'd all finished our dinners, the dancing started.  First my dad and I joined in when an older couple were jamming out and after that, the majority of the cute older couples and my parents and I were all having a dance party.  After a bit of dancing, I sat down and had a coffee and one of the cute little old British men came up and asked me to dance and that was when I remembered what an absolute mess at dancing I am.  They all were so experienced and there I was just kind of flopping around but I mean hey, so were the Belgians.  It was a very fun evening.  I can still hear the performer singing outside the window as I write this!  (He was great and played all the old jams.)

Thanks for reading!

-Sophia :)
