Hi y'all! I hope you are having an absolutely fantabulous day/night.
I'm finally on track with the right post on the right day! Hurahhhhh! Today, we ventured about an hour away from our apartment to go to the town of Warwick, where a historically famous castle was built for the many many wars fought there. Although very commercialized, the castle and attractions were very realistic and impressive! We started off by climbing the narrow, spiral staircase to the top of the castle tower. The view really was gorgeous, it overlooked the green, foliage-filled town of Warwick. It also showed off the beautiful little creek and buildings in the town. My parents and Tony went on after that to look at an "In The Life Of" hall (I sat out because fake people made of wax are not appealing to me in the slightest.) We then went on to the museum part of the park which entailed the rooms which would traditionally be included in castles in that day and age. This also included many creepy wax people which I did not enjoy, but I just looked the other way and enjoyed the walls. However, these rooms were so extravagantly beautiful. We viewed a library, (In which Tony pointed out that the hundreds of books in the library could totally be stored on one Kindle. HURAY for technology, am I right??) lady's parlors, gentlemen's parlors, and bedrooms, hallways, etc. It was really impressive. We then headed to check out the dungeon but on the way, we saw a casual group of peacocks hanging about and one in particular decided to show off his plumes for the female peacock. I personally believe that she would be much more impressed if he got a job and moved out of his parents house. But that's just me. We then went to check out the rest of the park.
We walked into the town of Warwick next. Tony and I each grabbed a latte and we all went on our way to the grocery store, Sainsbury's. We got a few essentials and headed back to the car. We got home fairly easily and now just finished dinner. Although it was lovely, not my best day, for those of you who know me, heights and wax figures = not great.
Thanks for putting up with my bad jokes!
-Sophia :)
