Day 22: Walking Tour of Jordaan and Our Last Day in Amsterdam

Hi everyone!  Hope you're doing marvelously.

(Again, so sorry for the delays in posting!  Here's the post from yesterday.)

Today was our last day in Amsterdam, *teardrop* so we decided to go gallivanting into the city once more.  We all got up pretty early so we could get a head start on the day ahead.  My dad had AGAIN found a recording of Rick Steves. (falsely sarcastic travel writer, I know, who am I to talk, but bare with me)  This time he would be guiding us through the streets of the calmer, more serene part of Amsterdam, the Jordaan (YOUR-daan).  We walked through the allies that marked the end of the wild, lively, beautiful Amsterdam and into the cobbled streets of Jordaan.  My dad walked ahead of my mom and Tony and I to grab a beer while we hung back to try a piece of the so-called "famous" apple pie.  I will admit, they know how to work an oven.  Afterwards, we all headed back to where my dad was sitting.  We peeked into a street art store and into the cheese museum, yes all my mom and I did was have cheese samples, we didn't do the actual tour, but I mean DUTCH CHEESE.  You don't understand until you've tried it.  Then, we kept weaving in and out of the narrow allies and streets until the tour took the four of us to the Anne Frank House.  Yes, the place where stupid little seven-year-old me stepped out happily with the intention of crossing the street, only to hit by a bicycle and break my leg on our last trip.  We didn't go into the Anne Frank House, but, we did peek into the cafe that was so helpful seven years ago.  After that little detour, we headed towards the end of our tour, we stopped for a bit at a different cafe also for my parents to grab a coffee.  At the end of our tour we took a tram back to our little beloved apartment.

Being the last night in our gorgeous Amsterdam apartment, Tony and I took advantage of the huge TV one more time and watched my favorite movie in the history of the world, Tangled.  After that, we all got to packing our bags, for after all, we all had to be out the door of the deadly hour of 6:30am.  My favorite.

Hope you liked this little tour of our tour!

Nobody is sure why this picture is a thing....

We were slightly in awe of the gorgeous mall we passed through

Me giving major sass because this is the place I broke my leg and I didn't let it happen again. *snaps fingers*
